The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 两位主角在一起的时候柔光的好足，很有小清新青春片的感觉，但是感情啊矛盾啊刻画的很刻意，导演想让观众为了她们而感动，可她们的情感并没有太过打动人。这要是个异性恋片的话，分会更低。
有一种导演在讲自己的故事的错觉，镜头细腻，色调梦幻，剧情比较琐碎冗余，复古的色调加上现实的剧情，好像过去的一切美好都是梦，要结束的终于都要结束了，但我却不愿意醒来。
整部电影几乎都看不进去，亲吻交谈和床戏都感觉情绪不够，让人觉得有点别扭，不知道是剧情问题还是演技问题，此处对比的是《蝴蝶》。拉快进的方式直接来到婚礼，从靠近说“你的内衣又扣错了”开始感到震动，从这里到全片结束的五六分钟里，层层堆叠上去，眼泪在回忆画面两人坐在地板上看电视，女生睡着了，另一个靠近很温柔的说“我爱你”，此刻情绪被带到峰值。难究其因，但爱情它来过，存在过。
补一句不正经的评价：麦家琪演这样一个妈就离谱…
喜欢你是你，可她不是你的你了，喜欢你是你，可她有可能成为那个你了。你都不管，你都不要，过不去了，无条件投降。

大概是很想和你携手走过这段路吧。
没有时代背景，没有家庭阻力，没有原因的分开，强行be，垃圾电影。
只是误以为那个画面会变成同学们纷纷上前为她们撑伞……

故事普通，演员普通，导演水平有限，情绪戏处理的非常没有想象力，太多拼贴，让这样一部原本应该是非常私人有特点的电影，变得异常平庸。
