The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 看之前觉得会哭，看完觉得影片度把握的很好，没有刻意的煽情。荡气回肠，气势磅礴。基本上近2个小时的镜头交给了战争场面，音效很赞。但穿插着人物性格描写部分还是透着兰晓龙独特的军痞风~群像之下，写的最好的人物是胡军那个人物，有血有肉（啊！胡军演的太好了！）。四字弟弟完成一个85分的表演，害怕的时候我相信他真害怕了，但坚毅的时候我从他眼里看到了执念，未来可期。
当然，伟大的志愿军战士，伟大的军人们永远值得我们尊敬
哭的我哇哇叫，抗美援朝立国之战，和平来之不易
直接满星完事，还要吹啥。虽然开场的特效画面略显糊了点，但不影响之后剧情走势的精彩和战斗场面实拍的震撼。竟然略显敏感的毛岸英之死都有描述，确实敢拍。希望能出导演剪辑版，把更多精彩画面带给观众。
缺点当然也很明显，第一我个人相比于大场面的战争戏更偏向战术人物等方面的文戏，第二为啥都不说方言啊！！！
这是一部感受型的片子
缺少细节，把美国人想的太简单了，整体把握不够，时间偏长。
所有人都有的共同点，不愿意去回忆当年，心中都有着不能忘却的“名字”，以及对国，对党，对人民的忠诚。
1.至少对我个人来说，特效是完全能让我满足的，丝毫没有让人出戏的片段。
但是1950，里面所有人都是当年参加抗美援朝的人民志愿军，有机枪手，炮兵，医疗兵，侦察兵，排长，连长。有些人四肢完好，有些人身上有着弹孔印，有的双手没了，有的腿没了。
片长太长，个别情节与历史事实有出入，演员表演总体到位，还算对的起票价吧
支持这类型电影。前赴后继的热血属于年轻人的鲁莽，可如果没有这股鲁莽与无畏，这山河，谁来守护？

最令人遗憾的不是这部作品单一的问题，而是这只是接下来几年整体趋势的开端，看着国庆档一片大红，心里有些怪怪的
缺乏灵魂的流水线工业化电影产品，不过还是比金刚川更有诚意一些
电影还是美化了一点，现实更加残酷啊...而且前期胜利之后面对的是更恶劣的环境，想到这些，就没办法因为电影结尾挥舞旗帜而高兴起来。咋说呢，中秋看的1950，实在太受震撼太难过（就是在电影院忍不住哭出声的那种），看长津湖的时候就没有那么触动。艺术本应高于现实，但往往真实更加触动人。可能1950之后，再难有抗美援朝电影能超越它了。毕竟老兵越来越少，下一次讲故事的还有谁呢。

除了很差的片头特效，莫名其妙的分屏外，还算是蛮惊险刺激的，3个小时无尿点，但还是出去尿了，为啥？因为片长太长，茶又喝多了憋不住…
