The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 埃菲尔把爱情铭刻在了巴黎大地上，不知道电影中的爱情故事有多少是重新创作，以前知道埃菲尔是给妻子的爱、不是电影中的阿德里娜。少量的铁塔建造部分有些吸引人，可惜着墨太少。
5.5 本片以"埃菲尔"一词的两种定义, 试图令故事更为丰富饱满。 然而叙事却在爱情与事业中徘徊不定, 未能确定主次的同时, 也让故事缺乏重点。 最终这部影片仅于复原史实方面提供些许价值, 影片自身近乎乏善可陈。
