The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 好喜欢拉布拉多，即使变大了也依旧超级可爱！！！！！很有爱的一部电影。
就像在压力山大的平日早晨来一碗味道熟悉但还是很香的牛奶燕麦片。因为狗勾可爱，所以影响大人判断的因素可以忽略。
陪女儿一起看的。因为女儿小时候我们一直给她读大红狗的书，所以比较有感觉。但是改编了很多情节，跟书很不一样。然后可能是给小孩看的电影，那些大人的表演方式都好戏剧化啊，如果是动画片这样的夸张就不会奇怪，真人这么演还是太奇怪。

故事虽然老套（属于看了开头就知道结局的事，期间还调侃了一下纽约客的“冷漠”文化）小朋友演技略尴尬 但不影响打动观众和治愈人心的力量 全片大红狗狗演技最好哈哈哈 看起来是Labrador合成 电影传递的价值观也很直接：“人们总是讨厌/唾弃与他们不同的人和事，但与众不同，不代表就能合理地被欺负或羞辱。” 很zz正确 但放在当下还是很能speak to the context 希望我们都能做一个尊重并善待“不同”的温柔的人
节奏轻快，叙事清晰，一部观赏性故事性俱佳的国产电影，就国产片而言堪称佳作。辛芷雷的对白有点出戏，但是人好看给补回来了。
不太看得下去…女孩演技太差了，呆滞的眼神好出戏。本来只想给两星，多一星给狗子吧
昏昏欲睡，电视剧节奏，要人物没人物，要故事没故事，就只剩舞指还不错。
当成儿童电影看就挺好。谁能对可爱狗狗say no呢！

中国版夺宝奇兵，古董版爸爸去哪儿，低配鬼吹灯鉴宝大电影，剧本也算能自圆其说，说了很多古董黑话和历史演义，也算是颇有看点，李现这个角色演的差，又娘又阴郁，很在意的是，吃了那颗几十年的奶糖到底会不会拉肚子
解谜跑图，拍卖场，火车站，郑家村。五脉朝奉，我的爷爷是汉奸。
电源版实在太让人失望了，bug太多，葛优都带不起戏来。
剧情老套、刻板印象、政治正确。女主被学校里的有钱女生欺负，最终有钱女生出尽洋相，华人男孩是书呆子家里有钱。 内容也不太对，女孩呼吁人们不要排斥这只大狗，但我怎么觉得人人都喜欢那只狗只是坏蛋想偷它而已，根本没人排斥。女生背景是家不富裕，却读私人学校，与各种有钱人成为同学，住的公寓那么大，在纽约市里也不便宜吧。还有些内容我不知道适不适合儿童看，比如不会开车的12岁小女孩开大卡车在纽约市飙车，大人们的打斗，大狗闻修理工的屁股时他以为是身后的男人对他性骚扰，男孩家的狗啃的骨头形状很像男人那里等等，也可能是我多想了。
只有餐勺打架稍微有点意思，没很大能力的话小朋友的绘本果然还是stay绘本的好吧……
实在受不了一只不停制造麻烦的又臭又吵的巨大动物，主角拯救所谓自己“宠物”的过程就是充满个人英雄主义的不负责任，最后的扣题也勉勉强强吧，陈词滥调和creepy的动物
感觉情节说的太浅，剧情的精彩程度不够。而且预告片搞得跟盗墓笔记一样玄幻，结果却啥也没有……李现的演技也是很容易让人出戏……
温情与爱，这个世界还有什么比小狗更可爱，有的话就是小猫
