The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 背景讲的是911事件，航班滞留纽芬兰小镇上的故事。同班演员，既是小镇居民又是航班乘客。不同的角色就有不同的感觉，一秒切换毫无违和，演员太棒了。另外故事的表达也是很立体的，贴近现实。虽然因事件会带来偶然的美好，但事件产生的影响不会轻易消灭。
群像戏演得很好，很多主题，很正向，也很多泪点。人类的悲歌总会伴随着赞歌。

确实太适合后疫情看了，尤其2020年初的时候。然而疫情这场灾难已经转向了无人知晓的地方，以后谁会来写2022这部音乐剧呢

911事件后一个偏远小镇接待了临时停靠的几千飞机乘客的故事。可怕的人祸和温暖的人情，疫情后看别有一番感受。最感动的是全部根据真实事件改编，片尾贴出演员和角色原型的合照，让人更相信这世界的温情。
挺感动的。在现有体量和形式下做得够好了…（音乐剧本身就很难把内容做得特别深）这个戏本身也像911事件中的甘德一样提供了近乎乌托邦式的美好、友善、温暖。对于戏剧应该如何改编真实事件，和当下产生互动还蛮有启发的。

比想象的欢乐，虽然有些笑点没get到。基于911背景的真实故事，又是疫情期间百老汇恢复的第一次演出，现实意义远大于内容。作为一部音乐剧，感觉唱段有点少，也没有太令人印象深刻的曲子。机长的高音真是又稳又轻松，Diane那段I'm here也很棒
回家的火车上看的，继《汉密尔顿》之后的第二部音乐剧。音乐剧这种东西，将音乐和剧情结合在一起，真的很有表现力，入坑了。小镇居民的援助，是人性中最原始的善的表达。

舞台设计得很好 挺可爱的 唯一要说不太喜欢的就是我感觉歌一般
我们可以看到人类最大的善意闪光的同时也能不逃避自私与阴暗面，但是总是向善的。不回避创伤与痛苦的作品才是真正伟大的！这是一部没有任何理解壁垒的片子!太棒了
