The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 2021.3.18一天，豆瓣评分从8.8涨到了9.0，粉丝们过年了。
老的新剧，新的老剧。现实的虚幻，虚幻的现实。阴间的阳人，阳人的阴间。电影的戏剧，戏剧的电影。片里处处是可以列举出的矛盾性反差。三个小时完全不觉得冗长，只是后半段感觉到时间紧迫下叙事略微的赶。在近几年已经放弃对华语电影的兴趣的时候重燃了我对地方性的希望，被舞台与置景完全戳到。4.5
5.5/10，拖了半个小时的尾声可以确定，这部影片本质上还是半成品，因此不算及格。从插科打诨的烂俗变成慢镜头的疯狂堆砌，实际上都是无趣。自己埋的穿越提醒露易丝，黑化大超毁世界的梦，到这部里还是没有正常解答【甚至又做了一场梦】钢骨和闪电侠的故事补充的很完整完整，可其他角色的形象没有什么提升，至于火星猎人，可以改名叫做玛莎猎人了【the Martha Manhunter，谐音烂梗】

全篇故事很流畅。前因后果。都讲述的井井有条。有条不紊。影片在故事上要解决的两个矛盾是荒原狼和母盒三位一体合并。同时打了一个时间差。反派，因超人死而来，因超人复活而败。
我没评这部还是被删了？管它，反正五星打上？
相比《正义联盟》，扎导我觉得更多笔墨在钢骨身上，然而看下来我觉得钢骨这个角色够立体了，但！啥时候出个独立电影啊！这个角色的可发掘性和他的魅力真是无边！最后还要再表白一次盖尔加朵，真的好美啊！
基本满足预期，甩尾灯正联几条街，但观感也确实就比复联2强一点点吧，对闪电侠和钢骨的开发是有惊喜的，剧情顺了，战斗更像集体了，深度和设计其实还是老样子吧，最喜欢结尾那段梦魇，可惜不会有后续，之前宣传的那些新人物太酱油
4小时剧情倒是非常饱满，感觉还是太长了，虽然也还算精彩咋感觉看完都没有再想去看第二遍呢

我一直都嫌弃扎导太喜欢自我陶醉，也从来都不是DC粉丝，但是扎导敢于坚持自我的表达，DC粉丝敢于反对商业干预下的院线版正联，这些都让我无比尊重和羡慕。 4小时确实有点太长了，但人物塑造和最后的大战真是比尾灯版好了不止十倍。小闪、钢骨和海王的故事完整了许多，尤其是小闪，最后的超光速拯救大局真是又萌又燃，我被圈粉了！！！！！
8.0/10 分。初看，4小时导演剪辑版。以前看过剧场版的。超人还是这么牛逼呀。。。闪电侠好逗比，开始跑步的姿势好搞笑。。。来龙去脉交代得很清楚了。。。其实应该先来几部电影交代主角的。。。其实我就是想知道，“达克赛德”能和“灭霸”一战吗？哈哈。。。
由于影片还挺长，所以需要一定的耐心才能看完。首先形式上的新奇之处就不多做评价，觉得最神之处是驼背用照相机看来看去和结尾人人在喝孟婆汤忘却往生。- Filmfest München 25.06.2022

依然搞不懂16年时DC为什么要自毁长城般地上映那个两个小时的、东删西减到根本不像一个完整故事的电影。 本作除去超长彩蛋之后的内容也就三个半小时，再稍微删去一些，和《复联4》时长也相差无多，但却因为当时的一步之垮导致这个系列逐步翻车，为一大憾。 本作基本上完全弥合了原作在情节上不完整的疏漏、基本所有人物的性格都有了一个提升，尤其是原作中被我抱怨颇多的蝙蝠侠，在这里人物的性格几乎翻转。 虽然情节上无太多变化，但补充的细节、完整的前史，让本作最大可能上的精彩而富有张力，这是扎克·施耐德的本事，他还是那个扎导。 还是希望DC能把主线重新做起来，哪怕蝙蝠侠换人，而不是再去拍那些政治正确却又毫无意义的小丑女宇宙了。
最后的为续集铺垫的部分幸亏我有点基础，要不然肯定现在一头雾水的在网上找剧情分析。
之前一直很期待，终于看完。导演的才气和勇气令人钦佩。我一直很喜欢《太阳照常升起》，它从看似真实的生活中偶然浮现的不真实让我着迷。《椒麻堂会》更进一步，直接卸去伪装，用最不真实的布景，最荒诞的形式，讲了一个最真实的故事。邱导不煽情，情感处理克制，却让我观影途中两次落泪。“高蛋白”令人印象深刻。或许，现实生活从来都比酆都里的牛鬼蛇神魔幻得多。
