The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 不和社会现实挂上钩是不是就讲不好一个故事？
虽然无中生有了一出（只存在于台词中的）男主暴力视频，但是好男人男主除了皱着眉头对男二说了两次“你骗了我”根本没有任何暴力倾向，那这片子前一个小时在拍啥啊？男二和教士，男主和亲妹妹，男二和姐妹，这片子有这么多能讲的东西，把前半截浪费的篇幅匀一些给赶场样的后半段不好吗？开场半个小时打片头到底是谁起的坏头，导演是不是利用职务之便偷看了滨口龙介的样片？
男二其实很会撩，是个磨人的小妖精。男主最开始两次见到女装男二，眼睛里都是光。

没想到影片中的狼和狮子，竟然是本色出演。这种长期相伴的情谊，很令人感触，原本不可能成为伙伴的两类动物，竟然成为这么好的朋友。挺治愈的～
也许十年后会更喜欢一点吧。
有些低于预期，其实这部不太应该算同性？男二更像是跨性别吧。男主的颜值肉体没得说（露点好评），但是就整部电影而言，前半个小时真的有点无聊了，然后才算进入了正轨，而且整个的人物塑造都很模糊，男主究竟是犯了什么事，最后为何会选择接受和面对来一个happy ending，都完全没有说清楚。

《不老奇事》去年因疫情下线，相信自己是金子，而今年此刻的上映，不夸张来说，他应当发光。
故事上两人的视角转变，结尾在合二为一，讲的不再是感情，而是文化和社会的现状。
