The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 国外电影敢拍吗？这片子也就还好。似乎人文主义是绝大多数艺术家的追求，但是艺术家的这点人文关怀和政治体制比起来多少有点可悲。一股使劲的绝望从25分钟开始到最后的失控都是令人无法欣赏的。如果把他和什么国内的垃圾比没必要，但是放在电影领域，真的一般。

一场疫情可窥见一个体制，也可反映到政府的响应程度和应急能力，敢于直面这种问题的电影的确是有震撼力的，而这种大环境下也凸显了人性的种种。
