The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 剪辑厉害，尤其是当海登说“our”的时候，忍不住流泪了, If blood is going to flow, let it flow all over the city, but it is OUR blood. 而且艾比对海登文风的了解，读过他全部发表的文章，就这么一小段，人物之间的联系就立体了起来，拍得太好了。
无论是要流血就在全世界面前流，还是最后宣读一个个因越战死去的士兵名字，你都可以把他划分到政治作秀去。可是，政治作秀本质上并不是贬义词，其关键点在于他所要阐述的是否事实和其背后所追求的目的是什么？强权可以轻易干扰司法公正，警察可以随意摘下徽章，但自由思想不会因此而灭种。

是否存在一个民权运动电影的现象？《芝加哥七君子审判》是目前看到最成熟的，无论是叙事线把握整合的能力还是煽情的能力（沉默与暴力的对接是最显见的精彩剪辑），奇怪的是，要为这类电影做一个精彩的收尾莫非真是一件难事？太泄气了
法庭片这个种类在国内是没有的，二欧美的则越拍越精彩，文斗比武斗还要好看。
起承转合都很标准的电影，这代美国左派缺少了锐意进取的反思，更多的是对反抗的歌颂
相當精彩的劇本和調度,角色設計立體演員也非常出色,由頭至尾相當緊湊,當中不乏很多精彩對白和對於社會上的批判,在此段時間播出,無論在美國或者是對此相當熟悉的香港,真是別有一番體會,Give me a moment, would you, friend? I've never been on trail for my thoughts before
一场注定失败的审判，一次实力悬殊的较量，越是在艰难压迫中越能得见人心、窥探社会的真相，无论50年前还是后，冲动或者成熟，不变的是那5000多个值得致敬的名字……本剧的成功得益于真实事件改编，更得益于大量精彩的细节，如通过不同视角场景叙述事件经过，酒吧落地绿玻璃窗场景转换虽显刻意，却意味深长，结尾海登的自辩词陈词出人意料，又在情理之中。激励人心又感动落泪的优秀作品。
电影充分表达了现实的可悲，反战又如何，老话说的好“狗改不了吃屎”，表面光鲜正确的蒙太奇下，现实是如此地无力呢！
有时候不感兴趣，是个老大难问题。再一看到约瑟夫·高登·莱维特就更懊恼。居然支持港独，什么鬼！
