The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 能想到《美丽心灵》或《模仿游戏》，好久没看到把数理逻辑放在电影里做出圆熟的叙事的片子了。可以说用得简单了或是纯然玩弄一些“噱头数学”的概念，但依然难掩一种跳动活跃的气质——那是微积分的极限或函数上的动点、是黎曼猜想也是高中数学。越高阶的数学反而数字越少，精确的符号在现实之中屏幕之外震动，寥寥几笔，尽是人类大脑的荣光。
很适合跟小朋友或者合家欢的爆米花片 不过这个开头 动物园里的动物都开始卷 多少有点…不过成长过后 又可爱又嘴贱的考拉谁不喜欢呢
是真的不知道看了半天拍了个啥……太混乱了。
典型的美国叙事，主角组队历尽千辛万苦，挫败了反派的阴谋，拯救了世界。角色各异，都设置了闪光点来吸引观众，当观众对角色投射情感后，就不在意其他的东西了
如果《莫比亚斯》在国内同时上映，我宁可去看它，对我来说，一部片子“差”还是比“无聊”要好很多的，而这部电影真的就是很无聊，罗琳干脆把《被诅咒的孩子》拍了算了，给系列的棺材上钉个大钉子。

这部电影太重情节了，没有好好把神奇动物学家的主角做好，真的有点失败。德国和丹麦的演员长得太像了，他俩不演个双胞胎，太浪费了
人类的角色很像工具人，只是为了推进剧情而服务的。倒是每个小动物的创作都挺用心，不错的儿童片。
视觉效果还是挺好的，片名可以改成《邓布利多的弟弟的隐私》
爬行动物很可爱好吧！谁说它们丑啊，我捶他(｀⌒´メ)！蜘蛛可爱，蛇蛇可爱，鳄鱼可爱，哥斯拉也很可爱啊！为什大家不懂爬宠的可爱啊！
这么好的系列拍成什么玩意儿，已经分不清是神奇动物系列还是邓布利多前传，太没意思了
奇诡片名吸引了我，虚构了一个脱北的天才数学家故事，剧作上老套的缺点挺多，但是试图诗意地、视听化地讲述数学之道理的探索还是蛮有意思的，韩国老戏骨崔岷植的精彩表演也值得一看。
这部真是小学生宫斗。。。神奇动物也没啥戏份
还是那个巨大而无法弥补的毛病：所有的场景灯光道具服装等等都非常精致，但就是上气不接下气讲不好一个故事。

魔法世界总是能给我能量，再微不足道的人也能创造希望，邓布利多真是温柔的人。
前半段很可爱，后半段剧本简直一泄千里，泄气的泄。发光的不是黑板上的公式，是崔岷植的眼神。看完想买草莓牛奶。朴炳垠恐惧或恼羞成怒时像一只炸毛的猫。
