The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 相比之下，这一部反而不太能共情，没有有力地回应政治正确的疑问，而是不假思索地用过去来为现在鼓与呼，真是这么线性的历史过程？年轻人的激情求变，被结构化之后，恐怕远比这个曲折缠绕，结尾字幕说明了这一点。
是否是在暗示老美民众，他们正在过着跟1968相似的时代？
911导致飞机迫降，一大堆来自世界各地不同的语言、信仰、性向、饮食的陌生人被迫隔离封闭在一个小岛。导致的个体巨大的孤独、断层感，与世界割裂崩塌(虽然生活扔要继续)，失去一切被无力所吞噬，在困境中如同cosplay的异样。承受着同样的割裂与孤独的人们无法忍受新闻，走出家门为陌生人做点什么，用宽容与爱去对抗这一切的故事。
最后，与其拿本片反思遥远美国的当下，不妨反思邻近香港的当下。

It’s surprising how much has changed and how much hasn’t...想起《辩护人》，但毕竟Sorkinism，文戏更犀利，看报道说真实情况的戏剧性有过之而无不及。

听过艾伦·索金的编剧工坊，脑子快于嘴，经常卡壳。写剧本就不一样了，可以一泻千里，畅快淋漓，哒哒哒机关枪扫射状，风格自成一派，后世学徒很难上手，门槛极高。
索金写法庭戏值得期待。Netflix 10月16上
整体很精彩，是一部带有索金鲜明个人风格的电影。稍显不足的是有点过度娱乐化了，以及控辩双方并没有形成真正意义上的对决，完全是一边倒的表演。
