如果你做一件事情是为了娱乐，往往不能做到极致。如果是为了生存，那么可能会与极致有一面之缘。如果是为了物质的存活，或许能够接近极致，至少不会太远。如果是为了精神的存活，那么就是无法超越的极致。在这种情况下，天赋能够贡献的能量已经少到可怕。
茨维格的中篇小说里，最喜欢《象棋的故事》。电影虽不及原著，但改编也不错，男主演技好，最后的棋局拍的相当精彩。
