The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 恭喜赵婷。但我还是要说，这个电影真的很难进入，也很难让人接受，大段的慢镜头，过于平静和冷峭，这就是一个超长版的MV。

十几岁的时候觉得这种生活方式也不错，自由，淡泊，独立。但有了一定生活阅历后，却觉得这不过是无奈之举，如果可以选择谁不愿意有个家庭，能依偎在伴侣身旁，能与亲朋好友相聚，能享受生活给予的时光。但社会的组建和机制又让许多的人不得不为了生活忙碌奔波，为了体面活着，为了心灵的安宁，他们才不得不选择了一种艰难的生活。

就我而言，这个故事本身的意义要大于影像魅力，影片平实地展示了游牧民的生活，讲述边缘化的困顿，个体归属和自由，相当安静，就像掷入篝火的石头，但除此之外我见不到再多本应引起注视的问题了
赵婷身兼数职的确保证了个人表达的一致性，但也因此而失去了更好的可能，至少在剪辑方面是有一些可以改善的地方的。
世界上有很多不得不上路的人，人们觉得他们无家可归，但在他们心里，四海皆为家。敬这些人的勇敢，真挚和心怀自由。
美方，华裔导演女赵婷虽出自中国精英家庭，但其电影才华仍在中国难以施展。来到美国更自由的环境后，创作出了金狮奥斯卡级别的作品。无论种族性别，只要有理想才华总能在美国施展。
