The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 你不看我不看，导演啥时候能出圈。素人演员非常亲切可爱，看导演说有些台词是演员用自己的语言发挥的，虽然听不懂潮汕话也能感到自然。机场追了人却只是送了特产笑死人了，套路中的小逆反加分。
PS：虽然有字幕，但是真的没法翻译出潮汕话的精髓啊哈哈哈哈哈

电影讲述了一对恋人面对潮汕文化的种种冲突，妈妈的处理，妈妈内心冲突的刻画都很到位，到最后同意他们的婚事，体现了文化的进步！
很平实朴素的一部电影 没有不切实际的喧嚣和野心 挺好的
出乎意料的好看，从《鮀恋》到《我妈》，同样的创作母题，十年过去，展现出潮语电影全方位的进步。

作为一个有潮汕胃的广东女婿，也能有一点感触。我妈一个上海人，没有宗族文化的桎梏，也一样会有那么一点小市侩，那么坚强又敏感。“妈妈”这个角色真是上一辈中国女性的平均形象

大型潮汕宣传片？其实也不像，倒是反映出潮汕人的可爱。
其实重点不在于年轻一代的情爱纠葛上，在于妈妈对传统观念的抽离（也是妈妈这个演员选的好撑起了整个情节）…而这个问题像是地域性又不是地域性的，这就会给人一种是在抹黑还是在写实的错乱感
“外来媳妇本地郎”模式，笑料来自文化差异、现代与传统的碰撞。地域性的集中展示难免有些刻意及猎奇性，不过也充满了特有的生活烟火味。地域创作不易，加一星鼓励。“爸”“妈”之后，接下来是谁？期待下。。。

把很多熟悉的习俗都体现出来。上一部主角和爸爸，这一部主角和妈妈。拍的很有同感。

寸头、电梯里的衣架的隐喻都不错，母亲背负了来自传统的多大包袱
最后，功夫茶是真的好喝的，单丛最好喝了。
拒绝的时候，女人的人设立住了。
希望这种小众贴现实的电影能多出一些，演技的最高境界是演不出来的真，多少影帝在妈妈的真实面前都败了
