The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 正宗老式西部片的调子，传奇人物比利小子演义后传，犹如《水浒传》之阮小七被演绎成《打渔杀家》之萧恩。
画面的气质比想象中没有那么西部片，至少地点放在西部。
感觉就像《卡拉是条狗》里吃着黄瓜的葛优突然成了扫地僧。

老亨利年轻时是比利小子，大概是大盗之类。整体故事简单，但是西部片多是这种打打杀杀的彪枪场面。（2022/4/7 疫情泛滥不知周几的日子）
有关游侠（也有说是暴徒的）比利小子传奇故事的再续写，剧情简洁紧凑，迟到的悲剧宿命终就上演。本片还原“古法酿造”，将正统西部片再一次忠实呈现，荒凉孤寂，爱与热血以及死亡，以及成长，以及躲不掉的债，皆如牛仔梦回。
一般传闻他21岁时在新墨西哥Summer Fort被Garret警探射杀，这个片中Curry也讲到了。
色彩动人，细节精致。即使不交代老亨利的身份也很好看。

不是说老亨利不能死，不过老亨利的死是说不通的，以老亨利的背景，可以想见当初将人带回来时，一定将该人搜索个遍了，以寻找他可以透露的身份信息，所以，类似手臂纹身是一定不会被忽视的。随便说一下，当初《巴斯特·斯克鲁格斯的歌谣》里的亮眼表演果然是人才。
