The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 教科书级的复古小成本电影，杀人全靠嘴炮，一个场景干了两个小时，全靠演员撑着。
开头部分是服装定制科普片，中间用剪裁技术来贯穿，结局用收尾来收。老戏骨稳撑全场。在一个裁缝店中完成了一个跌宕起伏的黑帮故事。
没啥特别大感觉，可能是对这个类型腻了，也可能是设计得不够出彩。
既然科幻片可以拍成聊天肥皂剧形式，为何黑帮片不能拍成个话剧呢，有几段演得还挺有张力的……但是这种事先张扬的悬疑故事，要把观众一直期待的给力桥段拍好，是挺难的，这个片故事还是略矫情，反转也不是太自然
全部在裁缝店完成的故事，耐心看完也就这样，还是算了。
除了主演，其他人的演技是真够差的。剧本是为了反转而反转，人物不太扎实。室内剧难拍，镜头过于干瘪，整片看完感到很对不起自己的时间。

马克.里朗斯的个人表演秀，精细而刻意。但是整个模式是舞台剧式的，包括表演的部分。倒是强尼.弗林那种带有钝感的诠释，跟芝加哥黑帮穷凶极恶的气质搭得天衣无缝。

比老派黑帮还老派的低成本高智商反转电影，高超的编剧技巧和演技给人久违的眼前一亮的感觉，完美诠释了什么叫老谋深算。
看的过程精神高度集中，看完后如同大梦初醒一样的清爽，大脑好象被洗了一次澡一样。
