The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 虽然全片充斥着对资本家伪善的讽刺，但放在我们的大环境下看着巴登饰演的黑心老板的所作所为顿然觉得这确实都不是事儿；巴登的表演相比拿下奥斯卡提名的《里卡多一家》可出彩多了 ★★★☆
编剧很卖力地抖露各种迷影梗，魏翔很卖命地秀“演技”，玛丽很卖弄风情地扮性感，全都透着一股心虚，唯恐别人说自己“不行”。可惜，不行就是不行，你就算把三谷幸喜绑架到片场来也还是不行。

不像《魔幻时刻》那样聚焦于对电影的热爱，但比原版笑点更密集，和剧情结合紧密，在春节档尤为讨喜。其实并不比麻花其他烂片强太多，只是有了一个好剧版保障了下限。
陪我妈看电影，太后打仗的不看说不吉利，修电路板不看说哪里来的丑孩子，骑摩托不看说汽配城修车工平时都不想了解他们这时候还要花钱了解？于是只剩这部合家欢了…还行，我妈欢了几下，我剧情实在太熟加上麻花太行活属实欢不出来

好笑，相比大银幕看刘昊然和易烊千玺，我觉得看魏翔更值得。
