In 1865, during the siege of Richmond, Virginia, the union soldiers POW Captain Harding, Neb and Herbert escape in a balloon during a storm with two confederate prisoners, Sergeant Pencroft and the journalist Spilett. The uncontrollable wind takes the balloon to a mysterious island in the South Pacific in the area of New Zealand. Captain Harding self-proclaims the leader of the group and they look for food; sooner they discover that they are stranded in an island. Further, they are attacked by a giant crab that becomes their first meal. Along the days, they build a shelter and finds that the island is inhabited by giant animals. A couple of days later, they find two castaways on the beach, the aristocratic Lady Mary Fairchild and her sexy niece Elena. Later they find a trunk with weapons and instruments like sextant and shelter with a journal of a man left alone in the island by pirates. When the pirate vessel arrives in the island, they are helped by Captain Nemo of the Nautilus, a submarine that had supposedly sunk in the coast of Mexico eight years ago. 等到揭露大前提，就必须要面对这个创作本身的问题。不过整体上对老式西部故事的气质把控还是挺不错的。

很好的故事呢，感谢导演、编剧把这个故事讲给我看。讲述得很完整，栩栩如生。(那个时候的巴黎是这样的，长见识了)。还原得好好。内心最满足开心的时刻就是末尾吕西安走进水里配上旁白的那一段。(满足了我对吕西安赎罪觉醒的美好幻想)电影的最后一句文字是这部片子里唯一在我心里激起涟漪的话。鲁斯托是这里面长得最古典最那个时代长相的人。为啥我没有在吕西安和德巴热东夫人之间看到一点点火花，我都没反应过来，人家都已经进展到这种地步了。关系变化节奏太快了，倒像是推动情节的工具人。你倒是眼神给我来个感觉也好啊，不明不白的就爱上了。。画面一般，场景布置很好。我想的是那种复古温暖的色调，数字摄像机给我的幻想重重一击。刚觉得男主选得挺适合的时候，又有一点点不顺眼。。

這拍得也太依賴畫外音了。男主演老是歪著嘴笑看著不太聰明。
贵族文化盛行的时代，乡下的穷小子即使有着出色的才华，被巴黎的大染缸污染后还幻想能够左右逢缘恢复母亲的姓名登上贵族的平台，结果被人出卖失去了一切，最后回到了开始的地方。电影把巴黎社会各色各样的人进行了描绘，历史感很浓厚，虽然时间长了点，但静下心来还是能沉浸其中。

关于Lucien的两个情人，如果Louise和Lucien是少年时纯粹的爱情，Coralie和Lucien之间虽然在我看来更加纯粹，但起初Coralie更像是初到巴黎漂泊，又被Louise伤害的Lucien为自己找到的港湾。
没有历史视角是不行的哦——尤其对于男主这样的身份来说，复仇？——在对抗还是在面试呢？或许结尾之后才能作为真正的开端吧。

放在当年，这部戏剧肯定很有洞见，但在今天，两个半小时很难熬。
7.5吧，很多情节放在如今也毫不违和，不愧是巴尔扎克。时长原因，虽然有趣但还是看到疲倦。
片名为《幻灭》，讲得更多的是“幻”，而非“灭”。“灭”，有如“眼见他楼塌了”，不过一瞬；而“灭”之前的“眼见他起朱楼，眼见他宴宾客”，才是“幻”，才是影片的题眼。而一个人一生的起起伏伏，在一个时代面前，微不足道。《幻灭》全书一共分为三部，在1837年至1843年间出版，属于巴尔扎克篇幅浩瀚（共计137部作品）的《人间喜剧》中《风俗研究》部分的《外省生活场景》编（同类下还有大名鼎鼎的《欧也妮·葛朗台》），是整个系列最长的一部。普鲁斯特曾在给友人的书信中对《幻灭》赞赏有加。中译本由人民文学社在1978年首次出版，译者是傅雷先生。
其实多兰演得不错，没有拿凯撒奖最佳男配很可惜。女配演男主老婆的有点弱。
