The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 打架那场又好哭又好笑的，其他就稍微平淡一点了。
今年威尼斯节最佳导演奖获得者，女导演简.坎皮恩就是28年前与陈凯歌的《霸王别姬》共同分享戛纳电影节金棕榈奖的人，那时她的作品是《钢琴课》。本片根据美国的小说改编，写早期美国西部牛仔生活，也可谓写了个“男同”的奇情故事。导演厉害处在于其极度含蓄地控制力，以及在细腻的人物刻画中显示的功力。只是平淡地敘说很难引起观众的共鸣。男主演卷福的表演出色。
四字演的真不错，文牧野也不容易了，把命题作文拍成这样，还留下了几处蝼蚁的意象，也尽可能用现实主义视角，及格了。

跟药神是没法比的，做工挺粗糙，镜头语言也没有那么好，头一次感觉一部电影的配乐莫名其妙，但也没有到了看不下去的地步，个人感觉七分最多
画面很像电视剧，有些地方看着想制造笑点，但却是尬的。
