The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 在一个网站“动作片”分类中随便选中了这个，前面看了十来分钟都没看到任何动作元素，更像是爱情文艺片，退出播放后认真看了介绍才知道高潮即将开始。动作片肯定算不上，但是悬疑片还是毫无疑问的，尤其是男主深处穷乡僻壤语言几乎是完全不通的情况下被人追杀，不由得不让你跟主角一起懵逼，为什么他会被追杀？挺不错的
倒霉催的，好不容易度个假，出车祸，死女友，被追杀，果然不要疲劳驾驶太可怕
喜欢用一个人的肉身对抗大命题的设定，受伤挣扎逃命都有了更好看的意义。
华盛顿演的不错，看出诺兰请他主演信条的原因了
看名字以为是恐怖片，其实类似《飓风营救》那种吧
小黑是克星 ，害死了女友不说，车祸却卷入了 当地一场政治阴谋 ，接着被步步追杀 ，每次却又奇迹逃生 ，影片设计过于乖巧 ，有些弄巧成拙了 ！
极其优秀的片子！看似写风云变幻，其实是写基本人性、写爱情。风云变幻常常只是精英游戏，绝大多数普通人根本看不懂，但绝不意味着普通人就只能是盲从者、牺牲品。普通人怎么做？保护好自己的良知，尤其是在一份好的爱情中擦亮和坚固自己的良知，这份良知能引领我们超越风云变幻、超越身不由己和力不能及，捍卫最基本的原则和底线，比如像片中所例：不能杀戮，尤其不能杀戮一个无辜的孩子！世界固然是由精英驱动的，但更是由多数普通人的良知，由普通男男女女之间的爱情的质量，来约束和掌舵的！爱情才是世界的定海神针！
警匪联手狠追杀，男主开挂求生天。
想表达的很多，奈何演绎不出来。果然贵圈不分国内外，都是讲人脉的。管你有没有演技，让你是男一你就是男一。
悬疑心理拿捏得还算到位，剧情方面高开低走了。Beckett受了枪击又被捅了几刀还能飞檐走壁，这怕是钢铁人现世了。
车祸引发的政治阴谋绑架事件，背景可大可小，大的可以说美国等实施干预，不愿意不合心意的领导人上台，小的是黑帮为财产绑架（大使馆的人的说法），哈登作为普通人躲避追杀，带着车祸的伤病，一而再再而三的幸运脱逃，末了还坠楼砸车，阻挡坏警察逃跑，解救人质。情节动作应该设计得再合理一些，不能只靠编和取巧。
坎妹就出了20分钟打了个酱油，华盛顿儿子演技可以，但用力还是过猛啊，美国人黑美国人太小儿科了
Washington 大公子继信条后片子， 导演意大利人在欧洲早已打出名气ヾ(@^▽^@)ノ 这次是他第一个英语作品。 片子还是套路一追二反杀的节奏╮(￣▽￣"")╭ 女一坎妹太早炮灰而且对剧情没啥贡献(╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻ 华盛顿开始潜逃二十分钟蛮搞笑的。。。。撇开情节不说。。。。。一连换了两次换装从蓝色衬衫、红运动装到黄色格子外套。。。。。行云流水。。。我的注意力偏了ε=ε=ε=ε=ε=ε=┌(;￣◇￣)┘ 最后幻觉中的母子才是谜题答案。。。。怎么说呢……二星情节，一星华盛顿情节吧o(︶︿︶)o 无聊时可以看看。

一板一眼的悬疑片，但最后竟然还是个爱情故事。
没有想到还能听到这样的一次七十年代政治惊悚片的遥远回声，开头的神喻，到尾声的“i should die”，错误的人出现在错误的地点，半世纪后仍然指向宿命，未如往昔隐却入黑暗之地，解救之下却更为悲观。
没有很懂政治方面的矛盾，但是男主反正太牛了，因为车祸看到了不该看到的东西，然后各种被追杀暗杀都成功逃脱了还救了小男孩，不得不说他天生就不该是个凡人，一般人估计早就无声无息死翘翘多少回了，同时这说明政治权利之类的是很可怕的东西
