The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 猜中结局，扣一星。节奏还好，导演可以。价值观还能接受，看在科恩班底的份上，表演给四星。
人如果是坏的一出生的就是坏的，救了他不止2-3次，为了出名反手就是偷偷开枪弄死，真的垃圾就是垃圾，第一次他儿子被架上刀子的时候就应该弄死了。

其他都不错，就是小孩太干净了！根本不像一个没了妈的农场孩子……更像流量小生乱入。枪战场面安排略微随意了一些……
有時候你想平靜，路人未必給你平靜，危險處處存在，不訓練兒子應該是特錯大錯，弱肉強食的世界，你弱就淘汰。

人物三两个，个个都不同，男主老亨利是通过儿子的日常疑问与闯入歹徒的撒谎陪衬出来的，但仍然是用笔极简，后劲深长；电影叙事徐徐展开，挖掘出了一个隐没西部民间十多年的传奇。
父亲很丑，儿子很英俊……剧情比较缓慢……西部味道不错，但没有过人之处，比较普通。

西部片也挺好拍的，三五个人。慢吞吞的讲着话，骑个马跑来跑去，开几枪就拍完一部片子了。
