The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 老爷子的电影一直都是质量的保证，就像本人一样永远逗人喜爱啊，不过这次的电影失手了。故事陈旧且水平不行，毫无新意，只够两星水准。
晚年的东木，每一部都像在给自己写葬礼上的自述，一部比一部不屑遮掩。有一些很自我，投射自己永远是女性眼里的万人迷；有一些很溃败，当年的传奇迟暮，难逃被遗忘淘汰轻视；有一些很纯粹，坚持自我对电影的认知和审美，拍些自己喜欢的故事场景桥段。都很好，都很坦诚。来到倒计时里，一切兴趣 优势 软弱 局限 失落如果再去隐藏，那为什么还要拍电影呢？

片子非常一般，但是东木主演的电影已经形成一个特定人物和他的故事，我愿意像追连续剧一样一直看下去。
