The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 其實以嚴格一點的標準來判斷，肯定是不如電視劇第一季的。一來是作為第二季電視劇的鋪墊，想必情節推動也不至於太過波瀾起伏，二來是相較於第一季情竇初開且相隔兩地，利用豐富的剪輯非常好地推動戀人從初識到相互承諾，第二季由於大夥相聚，勢必較難以花里胡俏的呈現。親情壓力、身分認同、剪不斷理還亂的關係...，情節也不算新鮮，但還是挺期待第二季，畢竟誰也回不去那個勇往直前彷彿沒有明天的年代了。
全片一鏡到底讓這場混亂一氣呵成，短短一小時半根本看不夠，除了收尾斷點有點爛之外沒毛病可挑，長鏡頭執行的大膽且精準，全片已近乎做到無任何廢戲。史蒂芬葛拉罕領軍演主廚，除了自己的問題要處理，餐廳裡一坨拉骨的鳥事也需要他看顧，根本壓力山大。瀕臨沸點後的理智線斷裂就是應聲倒下，真怕自己4月之後也是這樣。長鏡頭並沒有拉散了節奏，相反地它豐富了群像，也強化了主角的焦慮，好看！
果然还是追求的过程比较有趣，一旦确定关系，就开始纯洒狗血了。。

技巧和膽識都有，劇作痕跡太重衝突太明顯，食物敏感的橋段略嫌老土。

Babe含量超标，剧作上完全不占据优势，全靠两位主角互相成全又极富感染力的演技撑起影片。剧版对于疫情与年轻一代的聚焦全然不在了，平易近人的视点消失，新颖点不见自然索然无味，隔离爱后见面的一吻甚至好过全片。

有点尴尬，不过不影响整体观感。在海边，躺在沙滩上好美，好诱人，很美好，不以疫情为背景，就更好了。故事虽然很老套，但挺清新的。
按摩那一段真的有趣，确实有点暧昧，难怪老婆来了句：如果你像对待你的肉一样对待我......
