The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 说实话，拍的不赖，能看出导演是个很熟悉西部片的人，而且其中大量剪辑和镜头很有致敬昆丁的意思
娱乐性十足的西部黑帮片，黑人女主也是真的飒
太空洞了，媲美国内无脑爱情剧，这片子连导演都不敢露面，什么情况？
西部片从起上个世纪后半期开始式微，反映了快意恩仇的纵马意气逐渐被无形的市场操作社会运作所替代，个人很难能自由随性地由着自我在西部冒险了。近年来，西部片依然颓势中，除了昆汀的暴力美学外，以西部精神为内核外的，直叙苍茫恩仇的越来越少，片子色彩、配乐都很棒，IMDB万人打出6.5分，可见也许在对西部精神的呼唤里，还有难以割舍的一席之地，实分应在6.5而中允。
看着丑国年轻人的成长过程中的言行，就能明白他们长大之后的习惯做法，尤其在政客们的身上展现得更是淋漓尽致，呵呵。自带字幕，所以应该很快就满世界都是了吧
主角小哥的深仇大恨只在片头片尾体现了一下，最后还兄弟温情了一把，其余时间都在装逼。

其实算是那种戏谑片，如果开头给一个18XX就更好玩了，“白城”这个设定是最搞的，里面比较重要的客体来自于那个给了又收的戒指：最开始被兄弟打断——他无法摆脱这种“原罪”；然后被心上人拒绝——他还不属于那儿；接着被仇人没收——宿命发来的信息；最终从对方口袋里拿回——掌握自己的道路。

两星半。共生演化出战争，寄生活成了爱情，习惯是绕梁的小鸡不可挥散，虚荣是皇帝的新衣无从落脚。未被善待的反派以善意终了，不被祝福的婚礼以血色为贺，连环杀手的夙愿是讲述故事，优质前任的要义是撮合后续。哪怕你不需要我参与日常，仍想与你分享每一刻荣光。
一路看下来，满屏的自恋、“炫技”，BGM喧宾夺主…
喜欢西部片，极少给西部片打低分，但是这部让人观感很不舒服
轻松爱情喜剧。近年好像没有出过特别经验的romance
剧情不行，非必要矛盾，人物性格架空，看完也不知道男女主学霸在哪里，mv电影。
emmm...除了女主好看，好像没什么好看的了~

这大概是最近这几年最难看的漫威电影的吧……除了毒液小可爱和艾迪发糖没有任何可看的剧情……
