The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 非常非常青春中二cliche了 但讲的metal band故事加半星
其实是一个正能量的片子，最后的音乐高潮除了酣畅，有过生活经历的人反而能听出悲伤，这就是重金属，这才是重金属。
剧本上有些俗套，还是几个校园卢瑟在组乐队过程中结识朋友、坠入爱河、与家人和解最后赢得认可（虽然比赛没拿第一）的故事。找贝斯手、大提琴女孩融入乐队等段落也比较单薄。总体上不如《摇滚校园》，毕竟那是林克莱特。但本片的青春片气息逼人！把teenager的愤怒、孤独、叛逆、渴求都表现得很到位。显然是导演功劳超过了编剧。还有半颗星是为了片中的金属乐队和歌曲加的！铁娘子、Metallica、黑色安息日、圣徒犹大、摩托头、Dio……金属四巨头全都出现了！连男主的车牌都是铁女的专辑“Powerslave”！大提琴当贝斯的设计真是太赞了。Emily的形象跟Beyond the Black乐队女主唱很像啊。
三年前METALLICA的上海演唱会没去现在每每回想起来都很可惜。
片子里的各种经典片段听着很爽，但是剧情就有点水了。事实证明乐队还是需要个贝斯手，结局算是编剧认清了重金属在当前音乐潮流中尴尬地位~

完全是在消遣金属乐。客串了几个知名乐手都不知道玩过多少皮骨肉的人劝少年爱情 就好笑。 鼓手听了几首歌跟着练就会了？这么神
剧情轻松有趣，两人互相需求的羁绊发展也很青春。
裹扎这重金属音乐外衣的青春剧。青春，躁动，热血，中二，活力十足。

虽然都是重金属题材，但是比起《重金属囧途》真是差太多。
