The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 无论是人物还是情节，所有设定都极度政治正确，俊男靓女加上唯美构图，其实挺舒适。打算再带着我家未成年少女一起看，告诉她无论对方多么优秀，前十次约会一定要在公共场所，想吃你的有两次就放弃了，坚持到最后的都是惦记你公积金的，所以……找个好工作也很重要。
没有精彩的故事内核，再好的故事场景和设定都是白搭，中间有一段我甚至想快进，最后的那个反转也乏力无味……
还不错！女主挺漂亮，演技也不错！剧情反转挺多！值得一看！
每一个元素的原创性都几乎为零，乍一看意义也不大，但这么组合起来在内核上有些意外的妙处，且整体性和节奏感尚可。是教育片。
色调不喜欢、演员不喜欢、剧情有不合理的地方，但整体不错，三星吧。

3.3分。 路子有点浮，策略有点浅，画面有点俗，人物有点傻，整体来说，这片子有着浓浓的网大廉价感，一看就不是大厂精雕细琢的货。但这一切并不妨碍本片在噱头和题材上的诱惑力。陌生帅哥PUA年轻女孩，并将她们带到豪华别墅，下了迷药开吃人肉，为了维持生活，甚至将人肉出口到各个财阀口中，真真有够猎奇！ 片子在故事构造上，基本照搬了《逃出绝命镇》，只不过，这里把黑人小哥换成了白人女孩，在政治正确上一如既往，前者为了种族声张，后者为了女性声张。当做一部cult片看，还是不错的。

能把吃人这个事拍的如此真实，还算是第一部。以前看过女主演的《正常人》，这部的表现也很不错。

感觉我国导演看到会翻拍… 那个手疼死我了
主题很清晰，似乎清晰得过头了。剧情简单，惊悚氛围弱，拍摄和布景审美不错。所以说刚date几次不要跟着对方去荒郊野岭…… Daisy依然漂亮
没有过度渲染恶心和恐怖。反而是男主角沉浸在制作人肉的快乐中，讨论吃人肉的过往，以及如果美味的烹饪，一帧帧大快朵颐人肉的画面，这种反常的正常让人恐惧。
主创人员貌似都是女性。拜访惊魂，恐惧斗室，全片只有“食人”一个惊悚点。说这是恐男电影应该没人会反对吧，导演最后安排的反杀——咬掉生殖器和害怕跑路的前男友都是再明显不过的“暗示”了，女性还是要团结一致才能取得胜利。
