The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 名著永不过时，看完电影就下单买了一本巴尔扎克的《幻灭》。
两个人大笑着，Lucien接着说：
又无聊又长，坐不住了我去隔壁传场看了一半。不要浪费您的两小时生命，除非你是哪种以为看个这个你就了解了journalism或者可以有个good laugh的。
本来《幻灭》原作的主题是：我们在奋斗的过程中，怎么面对利益与道德产生的矛盾🤔。电影版就把矛盾问题解决了。对的，他们直接……不提道德了🤔，反而补上了几场露骨的场面😌。我被辣眼睛了😌。心疼巴尔扎克😭……更心疼我用15欧买来的票😭。

没有历史视角是不行的哦——尤其对于男主这样的身份来说，复仇？——在对抗还是在面试呢？或许结尾之后才能作为真正的开端吧。

这部电影根据巴尔扎克小说改编，男主人翁是写诗的文人形象，可出了活力以外没有资历在社会上立足，对待人和事都没有靠谱的点，傲慢，狂妄。后期在自由派正营靠写讽刺文攻击保皇党为生，小有名气后，野心欲望吞噬了他想成为诗人的初衷。可他对保皇党还存有幻想，背叛自由派，投奔保皇党派，可这是上流社会的女人想整他想出的主意。这样两边都得罪光了，遭到致命的打击。这个形象真不喜欢。
4.1 人物的溃败从开头的自负就可以看到了，这种人物阶级的向上流动，没有人格魅力的话，就是两种极端，无脑爽文或无聊冗长
当时的法国社会是分层的，年轻人有光明而无前途，悲剧收场
是精彩的，虽然拍摄得比较中规中矩，叙事靠旁白强行推进，但是巴尔扎克的作品太厉害了。洞察力，敏锐性，批判性在近两百年后的今天依旧有强烈现实意义。
巴尔扎克的原著很扎实，改编得也很成功，复辟时期巴黎社会众生相，去年能战胜其他众多强片获得凯撒奖当之无愧。
老狗的故事真是迷人，故事老套但还是挺好看的。

了不起的巴尔扎克，关于新闻的讽刺太应景了。本片也精心制作，不辜负名著。
剧作干净的没有一点多余的水分 即使很早猜到结局也会很耐心的看下去 节奏和视听语言都很不错
正如那本书的最后一句话
