The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 前面很平淡，但当诗音被电击枪击倒之后，剧情节奏突然加速，一切变得精彩了起来，直到片尾一气呵成，前半部分的强设定都因为真相的揭示而变得合理
但如果这个剧本最终以小说形式展现，那这些在影视中容易露怯的细节，就可以由读者自己去填充完善，不会因为视觉设计的短板使得想要展现的视觉效果大打折扣。
