The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 遗憾挺大的，张力十足的故事，过程却表现的有点平淡，甚至那段种族对立的历史背景也被几个充满博爱的白人角色所淡化，直接模糊了劫持者的面目，这样的影片真的好吗？
从第一秒开始到电影结尾，气氛一直紧张到不行。非常好看。
每个人都有一层伪装，装扮成白人的黑人；虽然是高官女儿却对黑人有巨大同情的银行主管；身为白人警察却能共情绑架者的指挥官……但他们只能为敌，到底是什么将他们隔绝，让他们树敌的呢？一旦事情到了这样的地步，是不是只有子弹可以解决？这样的背景之下，这种行为如何定义？恐怖主义还是自由之声？谁能回答呢？
自由的代价是一切。
虽说是根据真事改编，但片中情节编得比较过分，煽得过于用力。影片成本不高，场景不大，基本相当于剧场表演。男主、女主两名黑人演员表现不错，演得挺有张力，值得加分。不过其中一些情节编得有些离谱，bug明显，因为借着“释放曼德拉”的由头，导演偏向同情“MK”，赋予他们很多“人性”的细节，让人们对他们最后的结局产生同情。

节奏把握的不是很好。故事基于南非的真实事件，就会别有一番滋味。但南非这个国家，黑人这么积极的夺取了自由，却不要求上进，感觉也有点遗憾。
里面的54式手枪和56冲实在抢眼，那个年代tg的革命输出也是有机会让世界红成一片的。
