The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 武打场面干净利落不拖沓，有绣春刀的那种感觉，剧情比较一般，五星给武打和对导演的鼓励，对演员的肯定
好看中时而带着不好看的电影，感觉故事还挺好的，但是讲出来的方式可能有点怪，意料之外这个片不是很难看。
陆谦明显摘抄自水浒，林大卫的个体遭遇也类似林冲。大卫两个字，不中不洋。与主演中西合璧的脸型倒也贴合。后十年的编排明显比不上前十年。尤其陆谦对弟妹突施强暴，十分勉强。（十年中就没有下手？）应是为了暴露陆的丑恶而斧凿的情节。前半截陆是个大奸贼，后半截又往良善上鼓捣，矛盾。大决战情绪铺垫不错，气氛起来了。
动作干净利落，打斗写实震撼，场面看的出演员和剧组都是下了很大功夫的。加油！
低配绣春刀，及格了，比目中无人好。目中无人这么瓦塔居然都上7分了，这片我只有多给一星才公道。
这片子给6分，太过分了，西方欧美日韩对我们的文化渗透多么的可怕，正的都被说反了，好的都给抹黑了！这才是中午武侠的高分片，鼎力支持！好片，好片！
执法官说，白人是恶魔，，，不能呼吸的事件之后，为了趋利，匆匆忙忙迎合市场而拍摄的商业片，，，清一色的黑人演员，充斥着一些有寓意的台词，，，
故事情节借鉴了很多其他影视作品，肉眼可见的拼凑感，武侠片真的已经挺小众了
动作戏和布景都很用心，化妆差点意思，流放十年回来皮肤居然还是油光水滑的，另外剧情不符合常理，金满堂的死而复活安排的就有点诡异，另外以大卫的智商难道非要等到特赦回来了才知道当初是谁出卖了他吗？另外片头“刀法即棍法”这个一线索直到影片结束了也没有填坑，最后的一场决斗戏让男主弃刀使棍御敌不是更酷吗？
看到三分之一，有《剑雨》《龙门飞甲》《绣春刀》《师父》的夹杂之感，但又有别样的味道，小成本制作远比什么《雪中》带劲！武打有徐浩峰式感觉，给个五星吧！
影片还算完整。动作有瑕疵。剧本拉胯，对白有尴尬，衔接（剪辑）有问题，武侠味较欠缺。但我看完了。
蛮好的，故事完整逻辑还行，关于金满堂的结局有点生硬，还有长刀客为何敌双方的人都要杀，是想塑造一个不按常理出牌的非常自我的恶人形象吗。选角虽然都是生面孔但是不油腻，演技也不尴尬。打戏挺实在的，总体来说，很武侠。主角一直说拔刀了就很难收手了，整个故事也确实围绕这句话展开，我觉得结构还是完整的。尽管总觉得有点绣春刀的影子。希望能有更多像这样良心的武俠片吧
剧情一塌糊涂，节奏把握的很差劲，唯一的亮点是鬼刀林和长刀客两人在坟头拼刀的部分，在这里武指有大师风范了，懂得藏巧于拙。其他地方就不行了，两人最后那一段拼刀也很一般，完全就是比狠了。

只是情节有点俗套
西北刀客的武侠故事。有点古龙小说的味道。作为腾讯视频独播的小制作，这种质量已经算不错了。
看的很难受啊，人物逻辑都很奇葩，没一个舒服的角色。最后是一个劝人别打架的主题？
故事情节清晰，对白简洁不矫情。画面也很简单，蛮美丽的。比很多院线影片好看。杀来杀去，最大罪魁快手县令、捕快头都没事。一群小喽啰为了生存死战。
女主很奇怪，剧本有问题，反二的模仿痕迹很重，整体还行
十年后，有的人还在等我。
